Really super gruesome magic and horror content warning. Please do not read further if you're even slightly squeamish.

In the heart of Bamberg, Germany, the Witch Trial Museum stands as a chilling reminder of a dark past. Among the artifacts displayed is a weathered, mysterious amulet, said to have belonged to the vengeful witch Sigifrith. The inciting incident occurs when a group of thrill-seeking thieves, seeking a valuable score, break into the museum and steal the amulet. Unbeknownst to them, the theft rekindles the malevolent magic once contained within the artifact, setting the stage for a terrifying and vengeful reckoning.

The game opens with the heist at the Witch Trial Museum. The thieves manage to steal the amulet, celebrating their success in their hideout. As they tamper with the amulet, they unknowingly unleash a surge of dark energy, and a chilling presence begins to haunt them. Mysterious and horrifying occurrences ensue, driving them to realize they've awakened a force beyond their control.

As the thieves experience a series of nightmarish encounters, they struggle to comprehend the malevolent nature of the power they've unleashed. One by one, they fall victim to nightmarishly gruesome deaths that seem to be orchestrated by an otherworldly force. Their terror escalates as they realize they're being pursued by something supernatural and vengeful.

Amid the chaos, a survivor of the initial theft, Brian, flees home with the amulet. His younger sibling, Alex, sees her normally unflappable older brother unmoored and scared and needles him until he reveals to her what is going on. Alex, after being shown the haul, goes online to delve into the amulet's history. She learns about Sigifrith's tragic past, her connection to the amulet, and the coven she once led. It becomes clear that the amulet is a conduit for Sigifrith's restless spirit, seeking revenge against the descendants of the villagers who persecuted her coven.

As the survivors become desperate to escape the relentless haunting, they reluctantly seek help from a local expert in occult history, Emily. Together, they piece together the connection between the stolen amulet and the vengeful witch. In a race against time, they attempt to find a way to appease Sigifrith's spirit and break the curse before they too become victims.

Emily and the survivors confront the enraged spirit of Sigifrith, who now possesses terrifying powers derived from the amulet's malevolent magic. A battle of wills unfolds as they try to reason with the vengeful witch, revealing the truth about the stolen amulet and their desire to right the wrongs of the past. In a climactic showdown, Emily and the survivors confront Sigifrith in a final bid to end the cycle of revenge. Through a combination of empathy and sacrifice, they manage to release the spirits of Sigifrith and her coven, freeing them from the amulet's curse. The amulet shatters, its dark energy dissipated.

The basic plot is fairly PG. The dark malovent powers wielded by Sigifrith are not.

Some spells cast by Sigifrith:

The Spell of Widening. The next time someone goes to the restroom, they start to go number 2 as normal. However, the spell keeps adding to the length of this poop as the person is pushing it out. Not only that, once they start, they can't stop the slow advance of this bowel movement even if they tried. Finally, the actual log slowly gets wider and wider, until their o-ring spilts and bleeds. But it keeps coming, and keeps widening, never stopping, eventually tearing flesh and ripping the person in half from their buttcheeks up their chest, their dismembered corpse straddled onto a pile of foul feces four feet tall and wide, completely burying the toilet, the whole thing drenched in blood and entrails, a look of utter pain and fear frozen upon the victim's face.

Versteinerung, or a spell of Petrification, although it was a spin on petrification. The difference being the person petrified very slowly from the outside in over several hours. Their skin would harden and freeze only to repeatedly Crack and bleed and refreeze as the victim tried to move around. It'd work much like frost bite and hypothermia, with the extremities hardening and freezing and potentially breaking off, like fingers, toes, ears, nose, and other unmentionables, as the stone drove deeper and deeper into the victim's body, only succumbing as either their diaphragm or heart finally hardened, long after they are ridden immobile and terrified.

The Spell of Rooting. All of the individual hair follicles on your body begin to push a root system into your flesh, drawing nutrients to grow tens of thousands of little saplings all over your body. You can try to shave them off, but they simply re-sprout immediately, still driving their tendrils deeper into your flesh until they merge into your internal organs in a rootbound mess. Wherever the victim falls, the roots drive out of the body and into the ground where the two meet, pushing a large stalk of a tree up from the victims corpse, sometimes lifting bits and pieces up in the nooks and crannies of branches.

The Merging Hex. Every time the victim touched someone, handshake, hug, a bump, their bodies would adhere and their skin would tighten around the point of contact and pull the two of them closer, adhering everywhere they touched and doing the same thing with those points as well, slowly mangling its victim's bones and organs, until all the unlucky parties are merged into a twitching oozing mass of teeth, eyes, and hair, with odds and ends of various limbs and trapped bits of clothing sticking out.

The Matchbox Curse. The vehicle you're driving has all of its doors seal and its seat belts lock, before it begins to rapidly shrink... but you and everything else in the car stays the same size, and you and the seats and contents of the vehicle are crushed and then spaghettified out of the windows of the car as it shrinks to the size of a matchbox car. That's what you get for trying to run Sigifrith over with your car...

The Shrapnel Curse. The spell causes all the hard bony material in a victim's body, bones and teeth primarily, to explode into shrapen inside the victim's body, some bits driving into the victims body, while other bits closer to the surface burst from the victim's flesh and strike anything and anyone nearby.

Dimensional Hex. The hex compresses the victim into two dimensions, making them infinitely thin, but with the same mass. Normal perturbations of the air immediately shatter this person into many thousands of razor sharp flakes that with flutter right through solid objects without slowing down. After causing whatever havock they may, gravity eventually draws the pieces down into the ground, presumably deep into the planet's crust.

Hex of lost Entropy. Entropy is magically extracted from the victim until the matter of their body is all converted to perfectly ordered, crystalline substances at absolute zero that exhibit no molecular motion. This then condenses, liquifies, and freezes the air around their corpse. As their body is now effectively an infinite heat sink, this ball of frozen air will grow until the flow of heat into the corpse is balanced with the heat available in the surrounding environment.

The Malignancy Hex. This hex simultaneously converts every millionth cell of the victim's body into a cancerous cell. It then feeds these cells with a magical well of energy and resources while phasing them into a parallel, faster paced, time dimension that shares physical space with our dimension. This results in 30 million cancerous tumors growing out of control and erupting from every tissue of the victims body in the matter of minutes. These tumors continue to grow out of control, bursting free from their victim's body and rolling away as various viscous blobs until the lack of internal support and the force of gravity puts a curb on their growth at a few hundred pounds a piece. This buries the locality in a mountain of malignancies, the equivalent of a cube of human flesh 200 meters per side.

The Inversion curse. This curse very briefly flips the direction of the strong force in the atoms of the victims body. This curse only lasts the briefest moment in time because the released energy is apocalyptic in scale, similar to igniting a hydrogen bomb. For obvious reasons, this curse is only done remotely.

I could provide a bunch more, but this should carry the tone and horror of the piece, trying to show what happens when you have an individual able to selectively decouple reality from the natural laws governing it.
