Indiana's Tombstone: Unfinished Business

This is an alternate film history.

This would be an IF taking place in a world where Indiana Jones had died when he fell off the cliff in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." The plot would take a drastically different turn than that of the film. 

After Indiana Jones' tragic fall, his father Henry Sr. is devastated by the loss of his son. Without Indy's presence, Henry's motivation to retrieve the Holy Grail wanes significantly. He returns home, heartbroken, and gives up his quest, choosing to preserve his son's legacy instead.

With Indiana Jones gone, Elsa Schneider's true intentions are never revealed to the world. She continues to deceive those around her, using her charm and manipulation to maintain her façade. Without Indy's investigation and intervention, her sinister involvement with the Nazis remains hidden.

Without Indiana Jones to thwart their plans, the Nazis successfully retrieve the Holy Grail. They exploit its supposed powers, using it to bolster their influence and consolidate power across Europe, Northern Africa, and central Eurasia. The world witnesses a more rapid rise of the Third Reich, leading to dire consequences for humanity.

Devastated by the loss of his son and the world's descent into chaos, Henry Sr. becomes a recluse. He spends his remaining years researching history and imparting his knowledge to the few who will listen. He becomes a quiet advocate for peace, driven by the memory of his son's adventurous spirit.

Without Indiana Jones' heroic actions, many artifacts of historical and cultural significance are never recovered from the clutches of evil forces. The world loses a valuable protector and defender of history, leading to a more distorted historical narrative influenced by Nazi propaganda.

The Holy Grail remains in Nazi possession, and its powers continue to fuel their ambitions. The artifact is used as a symbol of the Nazi regime's alleged divine right to rule, further intensifying their grip on Europe. The true nature of the Grail's powers and its connection to faith remain shrouded in mystery.

Despite the bleak circumstances, pockets of resistance persist around the world. Ordinary individuals are inspired by the stories of Indiana Jones' bravery, and they continue to fight against the Nazi regime, carrying a flicker of hope for a better future.

The game centers around Mutt Williams (the fictional character, fuck LaBeouf, to be clear), as the Vietnam war never occurs in the fashion it does in our timeline, and Mutt learns his true parentage at his mother's death bed, sparking a journey of discovery as he seeks out more about his father. He seeks out a sickly and elderly Henry Jr. and this starts a cascading series of events leading to the typical, Spielberg-esque, Indiana Jones adventure.

This would be a non-commercial transformative use of an established character. Fair-use playable fanfic, for all intents and purposes.
